Overall, it eventually discouraged rabbits from devastating my flower garden in Cape Cod. However, the product was apparently not designed for this application. The stakes all needed to be cut down from the 3 ft length so as to not be too evident. The notches to connect the wire were then not in the optimum position for rabbits. The notches need to be at 3", 5", and 7" high so 3 strands of wire can keep small and larger rabbits out. This is important since if the notches are not used, the wire may touch the ground or impediments, thus rendering it less effective. Since the transmitter and stakes were not designed for 3 strands, I had to jerry-rig / tie one level to the next-- not ideal since every break lessens circuit flow. Eventually I built a small fence that deters the older rabbits, but the young ones will take the pain to get at some of my perennials. Needs a design version specifically for this application.
